Furnishing and transformation project of a former industrial power station now turned apartment in central Oslo.

This Oslo apartment was built in 1984, in a converted transformer station originally from 1948. The interior references the building's industrial history and is stripped back to reveal the original architecture with bare columns, beams and a beautiful concrete roof.

Several walls were demolished to create an open living space between the kitchen, dining room and living room. To brighten up the room we painted all surfaces bright, including the floor, which makes the many different types of wood furniture stand out without noise. Wood has been used throughout in the interior to provide warmth to the apartment. As a nod to the apartment's industrial history, we chose to keep all the pipes visible and decorated the kitchen with sainless steel.
