As far as we know this is the first attempt to consider the value of aluminium dross, which is a by-product of the aluminium smelting process, there were little to no previous research.

Throughout the five months of this material exploration the result was: nine textures, three objects that serve as a representation of the potential of aluminium dross and a handbook for how it can be explored further.
